Clerical volunteers are 'on-call' for occasional administrative support opportunities at the school. For example, labeling yearbooks, stuffing envelopes, folding, printing, laminating etc. The opportunities are typically during the day and only take 2-4 hours to complete. If you sign-up for this opportunity, you will be contacted for your availability when a specific job is identified.

Volunteers meet bi-weekly to manage items in Lost and Found. They are sorted, hung up, and if labeled, distributed to the student to be reclaimed. Unclaimed items are displayed once a month in the Alan Brown Great Hall, and if not claimed should be bagged and removed (either sent to a charity (annually) or sold at or sold at the school's uniform sale. 4-8 parents share this job and usually rotate. The distribution of the tasks and day/time is flexible but needs a school year-round commitment.

Every year, we ask current school families to act as welcome families or buddies for our new incoming families. The welcome family plays a very important role in welcoming their assigned family to the school, introducing them to other Southridge families, answering their questions, helping them to navigate and select volunteer opportunities, and checking in with them regularly throughout the year to ensure that they are transitioning well. Sign up today to let the Volunteer Committee know you are interested in being a Welcome Family for the 2026/27 school year. When pairing is completed in June 2026, you will be contacted if a good match is made. Thank you!
