Southridge has been supporting the Surrey Urban Mission as a service partner for more than 10 years. Typically, our Junior students (K-3) assemble sandwiches and Senior students make soup to then bring to the kitchen and serve to guests on Fridays. This has not been possible this year due to the pandemic; however, we still want to do what we can. That’s where you come in!
A Bread Donation Delivery volunteer is needed to pick up a donation of Cobs Bread from the Senior School and deliver it to the Don Bosco Youth Centre, every Friday between 8:00am and 2:30pm (specific time is flexible). A standard-sized car is sufficient (not much room is needed), and no training is required. Register for one shift or sign up for multiple Fridays!
Specific Instructions:
- Pick up the bread donation from our Senior School (reception) on Friday, after 8:00am.
- Drive the bread donation to the Don Bosco Youth Centre (10461 140 Street, Surrey), to arrive before 2:30pm (they close at 3:00pm).
- Go to the door labelled “kitchen” and ask for Corrine or Chris. They will then take the bread. This can all be done without contact, from a distance!
